MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Township Community Resources Commission held the “Strike Out for a Cause” fundraiser on April 19th.

Proceeds from the event went towards the Meridian Cares Emergency Needs Fund, which helps Township residents with emergency needs such as utility shut-offs.

This is the second year for the bowling fundraiser. Last year, the event collected $1,200.

"I think it is a nice accessible supportive event. The community has done well in supporting the Needs Fund, so yeah we'd like to have it again," said Darla Jackson Meridian Township Human Services Specialist.
