MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Some changes have been made to the impending Okemos Pointe project, involving reducing the size of the project by about 6 acres.
This change means that the project will no longer include the area near Kansas Road.
Forsberg Real Estate hopes that this will help ease the minds of residents, who were concerned about the density of the project, and it being placed in an area zoned rural residential.
"We looked at it that we could get the project going, and it seemed like a lot of people were in favor of the project other than that piece, so we really wanted to get it moving, get it going and show people the type of project we're bringing to this area," said Brent Forsberg, president of Forsberg Real Estate.
The Okemos Pointe project consists of multi-family units.
Forseberg says the project is, as of right now, not going to adversely effect traffic, aside from existing congestion at Jolly and Okemos Roads.
