EAST LANSING - The East Lansing ladies did not disappoint in a Friday night encore, winning, 58-29, over Okemos. Not only did the Trojans sweep the night with a boys victory earlier on, but the boys and girls of East Lansing dominated the season series against the Chiefs, 4-0.
The first time these two teams met, Okemos had not yet won a game. Winning 5 of its next 11 seemed to give reason for more optimism this time against the Trojans, but in East Lansing the Chiefs were taken back early.
Up 18-1 through the first quarter, the East Lansing wasted no time warming up. The Trojans, healthier than the first time they played Okemos, put together an impressive performance all night.
The Trojans, 13-7, are heading into a big matchup at home against, 19-1, Dewitt on Monday night.
The Chiefs, 5-15, look to rebound at home against a tough, 15-5, Lansing Waverly squad.
