EAST LANSING - A tasty event happened over the weekend in East Lansing.
The Michigan State University Museum hosted the 26th annual Chocolate Party Benefit on Sunday where people came out to sample some delectable desserts and view chocolate sculptures.
Culinary competitors gathered at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center to show off their edible masterpieces.
The creations ranged from clock towers to dinosaurs to flowers, all based off of the movie Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
"It's great to see people turn out for something like this, and it's kind of fun because it unites people that feel very strongly about supporting the museum, and also people that feel very strongly about chocolate," MSU Museum Acting Director Lora Helou said.
Professionals and students from across the state of Michigan competed in the competition.
Proceeds from the Chocolate Party will go to the MSU Museum to ensure proper care for the museum's collection.
