MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Cars lined up to attend the annual Winter Wonderland Festival and Silent Auction Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Harris Nature Center.
From snow dog demonstrations to ice sculpting to children activities, the festival had it all — allowing the opportunity for people to try new things.
"People get excited about the opportunity to try cross-country skiing for free," said Kati Adams,Park Naturalist at the Harris Nature Center. "This event is completely free, so if you've never skied before, this is one of their favorite things to do is to come out and just try it.”
Although the event was free, like Adams said, donations from Saturday's festival and silent auction went toward the Harris Nature Center Foundation.
The next Winter Wonderland Festival will take place next January on the last Saturday of the month.
