MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Meridian Mall is seeing a few new stores open up over the next few months. Some of the new tenants include stores such as "We Love Kids N Dogs" and "Lux Calla," and UpNorth Gifts among others.

Peter Menser, Associate Planner for Meridian Township is excited about the expansion of Meridian Mall.

"A variety of new stores are opening at the mall. This is at a time when other malls around the country are closing. Meridian Mall continues to not only add new exciting tenants but to expand its building footprint which is really exciting in terms of context to the rest of the country," said Menser.

H&M, an international retailer aimed at young adults, opened earlier this year. The mall is also adding other high profile tenants.

Gordman's, a department store retailer out of Nebraska, has added 19 thousand square feet to the mall which puts it at over a million square feet.

The addition includes its own entrance which Menser says is a trend among big tenants coming into Meridian Mall.
