MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - HOMTV continues to find success at regional and national competitions earning 9 awards this year from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) and the Alliance for Community Media (ACM).
Awards range from professional and non-professional categories.
“HOMTV hires around 30-45 student journalists, producers, and promotion interns each year. The non-professional award winners represent their work they have created almost entirely on their own. After they’ve received training through our program, interns have the opportunity to create work independently. The caliber of students at the state colleges and universities coupled with the hands on training through the HOMTV Internship program gives them the skills and tools to succeed in their professional career. They should be very proud of their work,” said Communications Director Deborah Guthrie.
