LANSING - The Okemos Education Foundation held its annual Award Banquet on November 20th, where they honored eight teachers, volunteers and members of the support staff.

The banquet was held at the Lansing Country Club and included an elegant meal and speeches from the award recipients.

The recipients were all beyond grateful for their fellow staff members and the Okemos School District.

The recipients also expressed their gratitude for the students of Okemos and the importance of their learning experience.

The recipients of the Volunteer Service Award, Special Recognition Awards, and Commitment to Excellence Awards were recognized for inspiring and motivating students, implementing innovative and creative ideas, and providing leadership within the school community.

Members of the school district can be nominated for these awards by co-workers, parents, and students.
