UPDATE:
LANSING - Lansing Community College is a participating institution in the Early College which gives high school students the opportunity to earn up to sixty credits towards their degree.
High school students that decide to take this advanced track will need to work closely with counselors to make sure they are in a program that is able to transfer their credits to other universities.
This program bridges the learning and social gaps between high school and college and gives high school students the opportunity to take and learn classes with adults and behave like adults.
By going through this program, students will get their high school diploma a year after they would if they would stay in high school.
"It's very beneficial, but it's really time consuming. If you're not a committed person and it's hard for you to commit to school and you have trouble with attendance then I don't recommend this because you only get about 3 absences," said Early College student Logan Dunckel.
Students can apply through their local school district and the application is also available online at INGHAMISD.org under "Schools."
