HASLETT - Haslett Varsity Volleyball played the Owosso Trojans in Haslett on October 29th. Haslett senior Mackenna Ott was honored as the team's only senior for Senior Night, and she did not disappoint with her performance on the court.
The Vikings started off strong, taking an early lead in the first set. The Trojans were unable to narrow the deficit, and Haslett took the first set with a score of 25-16.
The second set was the closest of the night, but Haslett pushed through and won again.
With momentum on their side, the Vikings breezed through the third set, sweeping the Owosso Trojans in a three-set match.
With another win under their belt, Haslett looked to prepare for the bigger games to come.
“We’ve been scouting Fowlerville, who’s our first game in districts, and also Perry, we’ve been watching some film on them so we’ve been trying to work on some technique and some physical things we need to do in order to win those two district games before we play in the finals," said Drew Dudley, Head Coach for the Vikings.
Haslett played their first district game against Fowlerville last week, sweeping that match as well, winning 3-0 sets.
