MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Marc in Okemos had its first annual B2B (business to business) exchange. The event was designed to bring local businesses together to help them network and share advice with each other. Some of the businesses that attended the event included a local coffee shot and pizzeria.
The event will help create a healthy business atmosphere, said Facilities Manager Marsha Madle.
"Its very much a targeted audience because it is business to business which is much different than business to consumer. But we've had a good turn out and the exhibitors and the business people are really getting a chance to talk with one other and learn from one another and that's really important," said Madle.
Madle said The Marc was founded at the beginning of last year to help support Okemos's business community by providing them with resources such as mentors, networking opportunities, free space to work, as well as free WiFi.
Madle said she plans to similar events for more targeted audiences in the future.
