HASLETT - The Haslett Boys Tennis Team hosted Saint John's on Thursday, September 4th.
Singles players Matt Stewart and Johnny Choi set the tone strong and early for Haslett.
Stewart def. St. John's Addison Swarthout in two games 6-4 and 6-0, while Choi was just a few steps away handling his opponent, Jamison Cleaver, in two games as well, 6-0 and 6-2.
"We have got a core of junior guys who have worked really hard over the last season and a lot of young guys who are really motivated right now," Head Coach Henry Henry Brunnschweiler said. "So we feel like we have a lot of potential this season. We have gotten off to a good start."
Haslett went on to win all four of its singles matches and finished the evening with a 7-1 victory over Saint Johns. The Vikings play their next match at Dewitt on Thursday, September 11, at 4pm.
