INGHAM COUNTY - This year marked the second annual year of the Ingham County "Cuisine in the Park" event where dozens of local residents came out to Lake Lansing South Park for an evening of food, auctioning and live music.

During the evening, residents had the option to eat from various local food vendors, wash their meal down with Michigan wine and beer before they participated in a silent auction. Even though the main point of the event was to raise money to help fund additional park developments in the county, Director of Development of Ingham Country Parks Karen Fraser said the event served as a great way to bond with community members.

“It's a nice way to just meet your neighbors, a lot of people are from the community or around the community,” Fraser said. “There not all from Haslett, but we have a lot of the sponsors that com and its nice to see the people who they do business with everyday out having a good time and it brings us together."
