EAST LANSING - It was a busy weekend for Lansing United as they secured a spot the NSPL Midwest Region Playoffs after winning their conference.
The semifinal match up was against Minnesota United Reserves.
Lansing United started fast as defender Corey Archibald scored the games first goal in the 9th minute.
Less than six minutes later it was another defender that helped out offensively as Ben Lamb put one in his first goal of the season to make it two zero, Lamb tried to describe the goal after the game.
"I don't even know when the last time I scored. Long time coming, good to get on the score sheet," he said.
Lansing United added another just before halftime when captain Matt Brown put a shot off the cross bar that the referee said crossed the goal line putting his team up three nothing.
With that three nothing lead Lansing United wouldn't look back as Tyler Pasher added another late goal helping his team cruise to the regional finals winning by a final score of 4 to 1.
