MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - There will be a new face helping serve and protect Meridian Township now.
New Patrol Officer Bryan LeRoy was sworn in in front of friends, family, and Township employees on July 3.
In a touching moment LeRoy took his oath of office with his father, a former lawman himself, as witness. “I will never betray my badge, my integrity, my character, or the public trust. I will always have the courage to hold myself and others accountable for our actions. I will always uphold the constitution, my community, and the agency I serve,” LeRoy recited.
The new officer’s wife also officially pinned his badge on him following remarks from Police Chief David Hall and Township Clerk Brett Dreyfus.
After the conclusion of the ceremony, LeRoy took the chance to show his young daughters his new workplace at the Police Department.
