MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Before you go swimming this summer,
please take precaution by following these simple tips:

Make sure to always swim in areas supervised by lifeguards.

Make sure to wear lots of sunscreen, drink plenty of water and try to avoid alcohol.

If you are a parent, make sure to not leave your child unattended near water and do not trust a child's life to another child. Don't let children go far out in the water unsupervised. Make sure the whole family knows how to swim properly.

If you go boating, make sure to bring all the required safety equipment including registration, life jackets, fire extinguishers and more. Lastly, check the weather before your day out.

These are just a few general tips for you, make sure to stay safe out there and don't forget to bring a towel!
