the Same Listening Space

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Ever had a next door neighbor that cranked their music too loud?

Unfortunately, we sometimes encounter people that disturb the peace and are inconsiderate of others. These people are committing what is considered a noise violation.

According to Meridian Township's Common Code Violations, under Unlawful Noises Prohibited, it is described as any noise that is "considered a public nuisance, continues to annoy or disturb the public, comfort, or repose of a reasonable person of normal sensitivities..."

It declares the following list to be unlawful noises in violation:

>Radios, phonographs and musical instruments
>Shouting and whistling
>Animals and birds
>Construction
>Engines

In order to avoid Noise Violations we must be courteous of others and remember to turn it down!
