MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Fresh faces are joining the Meridian Township Police Department. The addition of three new police officers to the current staff of 35 was approved on Tuesday, June 3rd during the Township Board meeting.
The new officers include Taylor Comiskey and David Gubry, recent graduates of the Police Academy, as well as Bryan LeRoy who has 13 years of experience. The new additions will fill 38 of the 39 available positions.
David Hall, Police Chief of Meridian Township explains that the department aims to fill the last opening in order to reach a complete level of authorized strength.
Hall also acknowledges the investment the department has made in the prospective officers and offers his full support referencing a long and prosperous career ahead of the new staff. The addition of police personnel aim to provide the residents of Meridian Township with a stronger police force.
