OKEMOS - On Saturday April 26th, residents from across the township came together at the Chippewa Middle School for the Meridian Recycling Event.

Throughout the day, volunteers received truck loads of various materials all to be properly disposed or sent to recycling plants. Some of the materials that were recycled included large metals, building materials, books, clothing, electronics, and more.

Organizations such as Vintage Tech Recyclers and Habitat for Humanity Restore were also present to help volunteers direct traffic and receive materials for later shipping.
