The Carriage Hills residents along with DTN Commercial Management have committed to help fund the proposal along with the Meridian Township Economic Development Corporation which committed $500.
"Well I'm very thankful to the Township Board. What it shows is that they take the master plan seriously and they're willing to commit not only resources, but some of their personnel to help solve the problem,” said William Anderson, a resident of the Carriage Hills area.
The condition of the shopping center has deteriorated and is in much need of revitalization.
The best plan out of fourteen from the MSU students will be chosen for the area. It is unknown how long the project will take to complete.
