MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - In Michigan, the summer is only a few months of the year, and the rest of our year, is covered by the cold and snow.
The snow and cold always make people feel to stay warm at home. Meridian Township holds many winter events to bring people out from their home.
Jane Greenway, Meridian Township Parks and Land Management Coordinator, said they offer many events and activities during the winter months.
"We have to find ways to have good time all year around, everyone I think is enjoy this winter and enjoy our offers to trying to get them outside and excising even through it is absolutely freezing," said Greenway.
The Meridian Farmers' Market heads indoors for the winter months at the Meridian Mall.
"It is great because of people can get their nature herbs and vegetable and they were all produced fresh. And it is great for us because we don't have that much business in the winter time," Bob Jones, owner of Bob's Wife's Soap.
Residents also enjoy the event for fresh winter products.
"I love farmers market, we came here all the time, I think it is great especially for the winter produce," said Cassandra Hornbeck, resident of Meridian Township.
