MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The MARC celebrated its one year anniversary this past Monday. The MARC opened a year ago as a business support center, which provided mentoring and training to local businesses.

Marsha Madle, the Facilities Director at The MARC, says the first year has been wonderful and successful.

The main goal of the event was to not only celebrate the one year anniversary, but to thank their partners involved with the creation of the MARC.

"This has really been a vision that myself and a team of us have had for over five years, so when we opened last year it had been planned for a long time. So seeing it take shape has been really rewarding," said Madle.

Complimentary food and drinks were offered at the event, while guest appearances were made by Meridian Township Manager Frank Walsh, Treasurer Julie Brixie, and Clerk Brett Dreyfus.

The MARC is continuing to improve it's facility with a conference room currently being renovated.
