MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Lansing Economic Area Partnership announced that three of the region's incubators received grant funding from LEAP'S new economy division center.
LEAP is a regional academic agency focusing on business expansion, business attraction from the whole countries and even oversee, and business start up. LEAP represents the Tri-County region of Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties in partnership with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
LEAP awarded $5,000 to incubators to support unique programming, offset cost for operation, or to purchase equipment. And these incubators are the Allen Market Place, the first non profit food hub in Mid-Michigan. Incubake, a shared-use commercial kitchen with commercial cooking equipment, stainless steel work tables, and convenient storage. And the Meridian Area Resource Center.
LEAP is looking forward to helping people who want to start and grow their business. And they will award more funds to more businesses in every fiscal year.
