MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Lansing Board of Water and Light held its first of three community forums last night where residents voiced their opinions about the vast power outages due to the recent snow storm.
Many different points were addressed on how BWL can improve its service to the community.
Dennis Louney Vice Chair of LBW&L Board of Commissioners hoped the forum would be a good way to hear from citizens, "I mean a lot of people suffered through this outage, and one of the reasons we were here was really to listen, to hear some of the stories, but also to hear some of the good ideas that are coming out of this and to see where our deficiencies were and how we can improve those."
General Manager, Peter Lark, spoke on behalf of BWL and said that all of the comments and suggestions will be compiled into a report within the next 30 days, along with a resolved plan of action to better execute future emergencies of this stature.
