EAST LANSING - Michigan State Football finished their regular season in decisive fashion, defeating Big Ten Opponent, Minnesota, 14-3.
The game marked the Spartan's eighth conference victory, all of which were secured by a double-digit margin.
MSU rounded out the year with some other impressive statistics. The team won seven games without allowing a touchdown, as well as seven others with second half shutouts.
The Spartans also have a chance to make a big splash on the individual level after Coach Mark Dantonio was named Big Ten Coach of the Year. Defensive Coordinator Pat Narduzzi is a candidate for the Broyles Award as top assistant coach in the nation, and cornerback Darqueze Dennard is in the consideration for the Jim Thorpe Award for the nation's best defensive-back.
Amid the regular-season ending hoopla, the Spartans have not lost their focus heading into the all-important Big Ten Championship game against undefeated Ohio State.
The Buckeyes have not lost a game under 24-win coach Urban Meyer.
