HOLT - Haslett volleyball's playoff hopes came to an end Tuesday night when they lost in the state quarter-finals to the East Grand Rapids Pioneers.

The Vikings ran through the competition in both the district and regional tournaments, but were stopped short by the Pioneers in a three-set loss. Coming into Tuesday night's contest in Holt, Haslett had lost only one frame of volleyball, dating back to October 30.

East Grand Rapids moves on to play Northville in the state semi-finals.
