EAST LANSING, MI - This weekend marked Michigan State University's 2013 homecoming festivities, as well as a homecoming for Spartan Football.

After three weeks away from East Lansing, the Spartans took on the Indiana Hoosiers, in their second game of conference play.

MSU was down early after surrendering a 64 yard touchdown from Indiana running back Tevin Coleman, but the Spartans would go on to score three first half touchdowns, including a five yard run from running back Jeremy Langford.

After halftime, the Spartans would add three more scores, with a 34 yard run from RJ Shelton being the most explosive.

After the game, coach Dantonio spoke about his team's performance and what this game meant for the confidence of his group moving forward.

"I just feel that the more you do, the more confident you become, and confidence breeds success," he said. I've said that all along. If you're not being successful, you're going to have some self-doubt. And if you are successful, then confidence is going to grow, especially in a young player where there is a large learning curve. Connor Cook has a large learning curve because he's playing for the third or fourth time. McGarret Kings, and Dalton Williams, and you know, RJ Shelton. It's just good for confidence. We can continue to get better which is the exciting thing. We're focused. We're focused as a football team. Guys are hungry and it was great to get a win at Spartan Stadium on the 500th game. We're 5-1 and we can set the tone halfway through the season. And now we start playing for things."
