OKEMOS - September 12th was the showdown between The Okemos Chiefs and Everett Vikings. The 0-2 Chiefs took on the 2-0 Vikings at home.

The Chiefs were the first on the board in the first quarter when junior Kome Johnson carried the ball in on a four yard run. Okemos didn't hold the lead though, the Vikings tied it up when Everett quarterback, Lucas Barner, threw a sixty yard pass to Ni'que Wilson leading to a touchdown. It was possibly this play that let Everett hold the winning advantage over Okemos.

Everett then went on to gain another touchdown and intercept the ball on their twenty-two yard line preventing Okemos from scoring again.

The now 0-3 Chiefs will play their next game on the road against 0-3 Grand Ledge on Friday, September 20th at 7pm.
