UPDATE: MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Signs have been a topic of discussion for the Township Board, Zoning Board and Planning Commission of the Township. Recently, the Township Board discussed some new changes to be made to the ordinance.
Specifically, the Township Board discussed changing the ordinance to make all free standing signs for different districts to be the same size.

Also, directional signs are allowed in commercial districts, however the board discussed allowing them as well for the professional districts.

Adding square footage to the sign size was also something up for discussion as the board made clear that the address on a sign could be an important part of the sign ordinance.

The board sent their discussions over to the Planning Commission and more will be discussed. Keep watching HOMtv for more on this topic!
