MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Hope Borbas Okemos Library is in the process of getting a face lift. Minor work was scheduled to begin September 11th and 12th with prep work being done to relocate staff between September 13th and 16th. Major work was slated to begin September 17th.
The library will tentatively close from October 1st through the middle of December.
The work will include replacement of office units and restrooms, as well as the installation of lights; renovations will be done by Dobie construction out of Eagle, Michigan. Dobie construction won the lowest bid and was awarded $249,000 to complete the project.
