MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - A new mixed use plan development project is in the works at the roundabout at Marsh and Hamilton Roads. The specific properties in question are located at 2090 and 2095 Hamilton Road which are two family rental properties. The owner of these properties would like to replace them with two completely new buildings. One would be a unit that mixes office or retail buildings with residential units. A larger eleven unit property would be adjacent to the river and the residents would have special access to the river.

"They're going to have some amenity access in terms of a shed that has kayaks and there building a brick walkway down to the river," said Peter Menser Meridian Township Associate Planner. "So the idea is residents there will have access to the river for recreational purposes."

The property owner has already had a conceptual review with the Planning Commission and Township Board. The next step is to submit a formal application to the Township.
