MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - One of Meridian Township's top Co-ed Softball teams was in action last Wednesday night at Nancy Moore Park when Mayfair Bar took the field against Team Dobie.

Mayfair Bar found themselves down a run early on in the game, but took control after the 2nd inning.

Mayfair Bar went on to defeat Team Dobie by a final score of 8-2, leaving them just one game behind Leo's Spirits and Grub for first place in the Wednesday Night League.

Mayfair Bar player-coach Lyndsee Epstein says she liked the way her team played.

"They played great, a little quiet," Epstein said. "No one was really swearing or anything. I was the only one making any noise, but as far as actual softball, everyone did real good."

Mayfair Bar heads into tournament play with an overall record of 8-2.
