MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township's Parks and Recreation Department has a variety of sports leagues available for residents to participate in.

For those residents ages 6 and up who want to do something out of the ordinary, come practice target shooting and archery.

And for those looking for the usual thrills and the ball diamond this summer, co-ed softball has begun and games are played Monday through Thursday evenings at Nancy Moore Park.

The only remaining unbeaten team are the Grizzles, a Monday night club.

The township also offers a Tuesday night beach volleyball league, also located at Nancy Moore Park.
