MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - During the past Meridian Township Board meeting, Trustees discussed changing the Human Relations Ordinance in a positive manner. The reason behind the change comes from out of date language that had yet to include the LGBT community.

Led by Trustee Angela Wilson, the Board hopes to make the workings of this language quickly with everyone on board.

"I would love to be apart of that and take that on," Trustee Wilson said.

The Board plasn to reprise the issue during their next board meeting in July. By that point, they should have an action item on their hands so they can move forward and finalize the language of the ordinance.
