MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - If folks in Meridian Township are looking for a sports program to send their kids to, then "Sporties for Shorties" might be a good place to start.

"Sporties for Shorties" is a camp held at Central Park North and is designed for kids ages 3-5.
The camp's director, Mike Devlin, says the camp is designed to spark a child's interest in sports while developing gross motor skills and coordination.

Cathey Heath, whose daughter, Emma, is one of the "shorties", says they have a blast playing all of the different sports.

"They started with soccer, which she absolutely loved. Then yesterday as tee-ball, today was football, and tomorrow is track and field!""

The next "Sporties for Shorties" camp will be held from Monday, July 8th, through Thursday, July 11th, from 10-11 am.
