MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Haslett Baseball traveled to Grand Rapids Christian Southern, and beat Linden High School in the Regional Semi-Final.
The Haslett Vikings traveled to Grand Rapids Christian Southern on Saturday to play for a regional championship.
In the first of two possible games for the Vikings, Peter Romsek got the call on the mound against Linden High School.
Both teams started slow, with niehter piter giving the opposition much to hit.

The Linden pitcher conceded a lead-off walk, prompting a visit to the mound from the coach.
But, after two bunts for base hits, all the Linden coaching staff could do was watch as their pither walked in the opening run to give Haslett the lead.
with the bases still loaded, Haslett's Zach Berry cranked this one the opposite way for a base-ckearing triple, widening the lead to 4-0.
Haslett would tack on another run to end their explosive fifth inning, leading 5-0.
Not much changed for either team through the last two innings, strong pitching from Romsek, and timely hitting by Haslett's bats.
The Vikings went on to win 9 to zero, and secured a spot against the host team, Grand Rapids South Christian, along with a shot at the regional title less than an hour later.
