UPDATE:
OKEMOS - The Red Haven Restaurant presents experience for diners to enjoy local food and local entertainment. On Sunday, March 24, 2013, sixteen year-old Taylor Taylor performed for the crowd acoustic versions of popular pop song from various artists including her musical inspirations Adele and John Mayer.
Taylor's musical skills developed at a very young age. She has been playing guitar since age seven and has been taking voice lessons since the seventh grade at Marshal's Music. These lessons inspired Taylor's love for music.
"I always wanted to be a performer," said Taylor. "I love singing."
Taylor comes from a very musical family who love and support her in her own music. The very first guitar Taylor received was a steel string guitar passed down to her from her mother.
Now a sophomore in high school, Taylor continues to master her craft. She plays at local events throughout the capital city area and plans to study music in college. Post college, Taylor says that she wants to take her passion to perform and make it her profession and life long career.
"Ya know people asked, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' and I would say, a singer or a musician," Taylor said. "It just never changed as I got older."
