UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The Township Board met with others in the area to discuss some issues in the community.
A vision session was held at the March 19th Township board meeting with school districts and local governments
Members ranged from county members, commissioners, workers from the Michigan Department of Transportation and many more.
The session consisted of topics like fixing the roads, bringing younger families into the areas, safety in schools and much more.
While those meetings bring different discussion it still leaves some things unanswered.
"You don't accomplish a lot at those meetings initially because people aren't necessarily ready to speak out and that sort of thing. There were enough ideas passed around and enough thoughts that came up that I think there's some kernels there that will be worked on," said Trustee Ronald Styka.
More than ten visiting members from other areas participated in the vision session.
