UPDATE:
LANSING - Courts across Michigan are looking to go paperless.
Instead of dealing with things like tickets, court related documents and filing complaints in the clerks office, people may be able to handle those things online.
While that might initially seem like a benefit to those in the Clerk's Office, there are some residents who think that it'll be a benefit to them too.
"I think it's a great idea personally because I personally lose the tickets or lose the paper," said Lauren Wicinski, East Lansing resident. "So it's just a hassle to go in, like get a new one or to talk to them."
"So I think it's easy to go online, put in your whatever it is and pay for it, I think it's a great idea," said Wicinski.
Some courts have already gone paperless, but there are others who are still deciding.
