UPDATE: LANSING - Drew Machak, Michigan native, solo artist and lead singer of The Blue Effect is preparing for the take off of his solo career.

"I've gotten to the point where I'm relatively comfortable singing out," Machak said.

On Feb 9, Machak and the band played at MGM Grand in downtown Detroit, securing a permanent gig with the casino.
