UPDATE: INGHAM COUNTY - Located on W. Saginaw and Chicago in the Downtown Lansing Area, the Ingham County Animal Outreach Center held its opening on Januray 27th.

The center which was formerly an abandoned hair salon was restored to life by the generous efforts of volunteers.

The initiative for the center came about to provide an accessible location for East Lansing residents and their pets.

"A lot of people need these animal care, upkeep and education services but are unable to go all the way to Mason to attain them, so we thought it would be a great idea," said Jaime McAloon-Lampman, Director of the Center.

Not only does the outreach center cater to pet owners, it also takes in stray pets, offers animal care education for youth and provides food through it's pet bank.
