UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - Meridian Township currently has seven openings on various boards and commissions.
The openings include two on the Cable Communications Commission, two on Community Resources Commission, one on the Downtown Development Authority, one on the Environmental Commission and one on the Planning Commission.
HOMTV spoke with Clerk Brett Dreyfus and he said, "We would encourage citizens to apply because the diversity really helps. We want to get a wide range of ideas and experiences, people with new thoughts and ways of seeing things. That’s how we become a vibrant township."
Residents interested in applying for an open position can find the public service application online at www.Meridian.MI.US.
The form can be returned to the Township either by fax or in person. The deadline to apply is within the next couple weeks, however Clerk Dreyfus says the sooner the better.
