UPDATE: OKEMOS - The Douglas J in Okemos is counting down the days until the site plan for expansion will be approved. The institute has found the expansion to be necessary to accommodate many of the amenities that the spa has to offer its clients.

There will be two buildings added during the expansion. One will be a three story salon specifically for Douglas J and the second will be facing Hamilton Rd and will also be three stories with the lower level for retail and the two upper levels will be apartments to rent.

There will be a workout component in the expansion where clients will be able to workout either before or after their spa services.

The site plan received conditional approval on December 13th. Conditional approval gives Douglas J officials 30 days to make the necessary corrections to the plans before final approval of the site plan is granted.
