UPDATE:
MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP - The pathway along Kinewa Drive is almost finished after almost a month and a half of construction.
The pathway, located right by Chippewa Junior High School, will provide a safer waling space for student.
Director of Engineering Ray Severy says the path could be finished in as little as two weeks, but that it depends on weather conditions.
The project cost 115,000 dollars to complete, but Severy says the money is helping more than just students.
"In general, I think it's going to make it more convenient for the neighborhood," Severy said. "It will be used by students, but I also think it will be used by the general residents in the area, because now they can walk along the south side without crossing Kinewa Drive."
