UPDATE:
EAST LANSING - Fall is here and to some people, that means football season.
"It's go tot be one of my favorite seasons. My birthday is this month, so that's fun, and I love football season," one MSU student explains.
Other MSU students agree.
"Usually I tailgate, a lot of my friends go here, it's a lot of fun. Just getting ready and the 'go green, go white' chants," an MSU student said.
"It just seems like football wouldn't fit in any other season," another MSU student explains.
But showing your Spartan spirit comes with some rules, especially when it comes to tailgating.
All public parking areas are open to tailgaters, and parking on the grass is only permitted South of the Red Cedar River, according to MSU.
MSU also reminds people that Munn Field is an alcohol-free parking area and you must be 21 and older to drink.
While for many Spartan fans football Saturdays mean tailgating, some just appreciate the weather.
"I actually tailgate-sing with the men's Glee Club, so we do that for all the home games, so that's been a lot of fun and the weather has been great for it," said one MSU student.
"I used to rake the leaves and put it all into a big pile of leaves and jump into it and pretend I was in my own little fairytale world," said another MSU student.
