UPDATE:
EAST LANSING - 24 year old medical student at Michigan State University, Andrew David Thompson, is facing a total of 13 felony charges for dog killings and one misdemeanor charge for animal neglect in both the 55th District Court and 54B District Court. It is believed that the killings happened at Thompson's Berry Tree apartment near the intersection of Mount Hope and Hagadorn roads where neighbors gave an anonymous tip that something was wrong.
"I do actually find it very weird because I know Michigan State has a veterinary program, a very good veterinary program. You always see people out walking their dogs and it seems like a pretty animal friendly campus." - Ryan Reagle, Pre-Med Student, Michigan State University
Since hearing about Thompson's charges, the Michigan State University Medical School has suspended him. If convicted, Thompson may face up to four years in prison.
