UPDATE: LANSING - According to Trooper Marco Jones, the Michigan State Troopers require a minimum age of 21 years old for new recruits.

To be a Michigan State Trooper, a recruit must have a valid driver's license as well as a good record with the law, according to Jones.

The Michigan State Troopers are always looking for more recruits, Jones said.
