UPDATE:
LANSING - The Lansing Lugnuts hosted the bowling Green Hot Rods Thursday the July 26th in the second game of a 3-game series.
The Hot Rods got on the board quickly with Ryan Brett scoring in the top of the first off Lugnuts pitcher Noah Syndergaard.
The Lugnuts rallied back in later innings with a base hit from catcher Aaron Munoz and solid fielding, making the score six to three, but the Lugnuts struggled to take the lead.
The Lugnuts scored all three runs in the bottom of the 8th on an error from catcher Matt Rice.
Munoz says the Hot Rod's pitching was hard to beat.
"You have got to give it up to the starting pitcher, he did a heck of a job, and we just couldn't make that adjustment," Munoz said.
The Lugnuts fell to the Hot Rods six to three, but redeemed themselves the following night with a four to zero victory over Bowling Green.
