UPDATE: OKEMOS - A new beauty supply store has opened in Okemos, but not just anyone shopping for hairspray can buy there.

According to Debra Herr-Dempsey, the director of stores, the industry source store on Grand River in Okemos is a whole-sale beauty supply store that only sells to licensed beauty professionals.

Store Manager Heather Martin says what makes the store unique is selling their own signature brands.

"We sell to licensed cosmetologists and we have name brands and signature brands here in the store. We have seven of our own signature brands," Martin said.

Martin says some of their signature brands include Brocato, Ginger Lily Farms, Black 15 in 1, and many more.
