• Meridian Township's Historical Village

UPDATE: OKEMOS - The Park Comission Recently Received a grant to fund a new fishing dock in Meridian Township's Historical Village.

A $30,000 grant was awarded to the township from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund. Though the main purpose of the dock will be for fishing, the park commission hopes to attract locals in other ways as well.

LuAnn Maisner, Director of Parks and Recreation, sees the dock bringing people of all kinds to enjoy ice cream, or simply to sit by the water.

The dock will be a permanent addition to the site, and you can expect building to begin in early September.
